Executive Biography
Isaac Kofi Maafo is one of Africa’s most established voices in artificial intelligence strategy and digital transformation. As Managing Partner of DigiTransact AI, he leads a consulting practice that helps executives, governments, and enterprises navigate AI adoption — practically, ethically, and commercially.
His career spans more than 33 years, beginning as a teacher of Agricultural Science and Computer Science before transitioning into technology entrepreneurship. He founded M-Visions, an ICT consulting firm that supported over 50 organisations across Ghana, before establishing BulkSMS Ghana — a messaging platform that became critical national communication infrastructure for banks, schools, government agencies, and enterprises.
Through DigiTransact AI, Isaac has designed and deployed more than 100 GPT-powered AI systems, trained over 2,000 professionals in AI and digital tools, and developed sector-specific solutions for finance, agriculture, education, legal services, and government operations. His portfolio of ventures includes AfricanGPT, FarmSmart, GhanaSmart Legal, Mastermind, and GhanaEats — each addressing a specific gap in Africa’s digital infrastructure.
In 2025, he was named Ghana’s Most Respected CEO for Digital Transformation and featured on Africa’s Tech Power List. In 2026, he was inducted into the Corporate Ghana Hall of Fame in recognition of his sustained contributions to technology leadership and enterprise innovation.
Isaac has spoken at the Stanford Seed Transformation Network, Ghana Digital Innovation Week, TICON Africa Conference, and numerous government-linked technology programs. He is recognised for his direct, practical approach — focused on commercial results rather than technology hype.
